On the way to love-driven education

‘A school strives for balance and safety in the form of four principles.’
Hilde Van Bulck
Schools under less pressure
Why keep performing under pressure?
Schools and education are under pressure. They face challenges never seen before: stress, finding skilled staff, new ways of working, fear, workload, staying healthy... We can complain about it, but that is a sheer waste of time and energy.
For those who want to go ever deeper in their connection with the essence of themselves, the essence of their pupils and the essence of education, there is more. Why keep performing under pressure? What is the point? None at all!
Instead, we focus and consciously shift our attention to positive results. The greatest challenge for education professionals is discovering what works, what reduces stress and what makes school life run smoothly.
Can four simple principles help a school to function well?
The personal backgrounds of everyone involved in a school form an intricate network in which they interact with one another. That produces interesting results, but sometimes spectacular fireworks too. In the training ‘A systemic view beyond stress at school’ you get to know four simple principles that allow a situation to evolve from stress and chaos to balance and flow. It is a way of working that takes noticeably less time, but it does call for personal commitment. As a result, the school develops the ability to distinguish between what it can and cannot resolve itself, and what can be resolved in the private sphere. That way it can invest its energy more effectively.
‘If this were part of teacher training,
we would have a stronger foundation to start from.’
Teacher, special needs primary education
Disturbance or restoring balance?
A problem at school shows that there is a significant disturbance in the four principles, one you cannot immediately put your finger on. The systemic approach, however, has the capacity to make that disturbance visible in a safe and respectful way. Even more importantly, it has the power to clear the disturbance. When the principles are brought back into balance, the school comes alive again.
‘The school environment is the stage on which
our personal background
comes to the fore in many different guises.’
Hilde Van Bulck
Openness and possible applications
In a short space of time, a greater curiosity about and openness to systemic work and educational constellations has emerged in education. That is hardly surprising, given the many possible applications at every school level. We explore areas you had never paid attention to before. It is simple and easy to learn. But above all, it brings clarity and a welcome sense of relief.
Systemic educational constellations can be used for school fatigue, motivation to learn, truancy or choice of studies. They are helpful with bullying and exclusion. For doubts about classroom management, the job, new methods or conflicts within the team. For policy questions from school leaders and for putting together a new team. The list is long.
Impact
The effect of a systemic view of education lasts a long time. What is more, systemic constellations leave every participant their dignity. Everyone involved is seen and heard, and can once again take up their ‘own’ safe place. The situation and the people involved begin to move.
‘Inner safety is the very condition for learning,
for teaching and for leading.’
Hilde Van Bulck
Do you dare to stick your neck out?
Are you someone who doesn’t just sit back? Someone with the courage to take a new path? Someone who dares to develop something new together with colleagues? If you are that kind of person, someone who wants to work consciously on themselves and on the potential within them... If you are that kind of person, someone who strives for a more conscious approach in more conscious schools, so as to guide pupils in a more conscious way, then I have an offer for you. The new normal will then look different from how it is being described now. It will open up a world of possibilities and opportunities.
Make things easier for yourself. Enrich yourself with a few insights that will help you take giant strides towards a beautiful, love-driven education in which everyone is allowed to be themselves. Take part in ‘A systemic view beyond stress at school’ and, as you do, imagine your wish becoming reality.
When you grow, the group grows
What you can expect is tailor-made guidance from someone who knows the field of education, with attention both to the group and to you as an individual. We work together én in a way tailored to each participant. When you grow, the group grows. We work interactively from your physical, mental, emotional and energetic awareness. We learn to carry out our role in education while maintaining, and even increasing, our energy. So much less stress. Your growth will be noticed by your staff or pupils, so they will take part in school life with more enjoyment and, as a result, achieve better results too. And on top of that, you simply receive mirroring feedback, straight from the heart.
‘If a problem just won’t get solved,
then put it first.’

What participants say
- ‘For me, this training meant coming closer to myself and staying with myself. I have learnt to feel what it is like to be present or not. I now get carried away less easily by other people’s emotions and stories. It is so powerful to experience, through constellations, the entanglements and their impact in schools. I am going to take the practical applications of what we learnt into the training courses I give.’ (Eva Franck - education policy)
- ‘This training has given me practical tools to step into my power as a teacher again every single day. The beautiful thing is that these tools are already within me. I just have to use them. I now realise that nothing else will change if I don’t. I have become more aware and I dare to experiment more. If this were part of teacher training, we would have a stronger foundation to start from.’ (Line Willaert - teacher, special needs education)
- ‘A super interesting, fascinating, mind-expanding training!’ (Sam Hellemans, PE teacher - primary education)
- ‘The training has motivated me to set up my own awareness project for teachers in my school. I keep on learning and I feel a good deal lighter again.’ (Nadia Druyts - PE teacher)
- ‘What I have learnt in this training could create a safer learning climate for everyone involved in a school.’ (Karen Crabbé - Pupil care coordinator)
